ABX Air is an all-cargo airline with a fleet of 116 in-service aircraft that operates out of Wilmington, Ohio, and 18 hubs throughout the United States. ABX became an independent public company effective August 16, 2003, as a result of the separation from its former parent company, Airborne, which was acquired by DHL Worldwide Express B.V.

In addition to providing airlift capacity and sort center staffing to DHL Express, ABX provides charter and maintenance services to a diverse group of customers. With over 7,800 employees, ABX is the largest employer in a several county area in southwestern Ohio.

ABX is divided into six major departments: Administration, Maintenance & Engineering, Air Park Services, Flight, Ground, and Airborne Logistics Services (ALS). Each department is divided into smaller sub-departments with specific responsibilities. The interaction and teamwork between each department is essential in operating the airline safely and meeting our customers' service needs. Each employee is as important as the other in achieving these goals.

ABX believes in practicing good corporate citizenship and supports activities that improve the quality of life in our surrounding communities.

ABX will celebrate its twenty-fifth anniversary in 2005. As an ABX Air employee, you have a lot to be proud of and you're an important part of our success. We have come a long way and with your help, we look forward to continued growth and prosperity as we find new and better ways to serve our customers and the future.
