ABX
has many Programs to encourage communication, obtain feedback, and input
from employees, and resolve concerns. These include:
Joe
Hete's Hangar Talks - President and CEO Joe Hete
holds several meetings during the year to keep employees informed about
the status of the company, future plans, and to answer employee questions.
Dispute Resolution Process - an internal process
designed to provide employees with a complete and impartial process to
attempt to resolve work-related conflicts. Employees may choose the Administrative
Path where their dispute is resolved through their chain of command, or
Peer Review, where their dispute is resolved through five member panel
of ABX employees selected by the employee.
Employee Surveys - ABX conducts employee surveys
periodically to gather input from employees on variety of issues that
affect them. Examples include surveys on benefits, and the peer review
process.
The Employee Activity Fund Board (EAFB) - a
board of employees who are nominated and elected by their co-workers form
their respective departments. The EAFB plans major company events for
employees and administers funding for employee sponsored activities.
Safety Committees - have been formed in all
operational areas. Employees serving on the committees work on making
improvements to their department's safety programs.
ABX Airwaves - the ABX monthly employee newsletter.
Communication Centers - located throughout ABX
where postings, announcements, job opportunities, and other Company information
is posted weekly.
ABX TV - in-house television system that includes
daily company news and national news.
ICOMs - E-mail system that gives Supervisors
Company information and news that they communicate to employees.
Newsline - The ABX telephone hotline (937) 382-5591,
ext. 6397 (N-E-W-S) that provides weekly updates about the company and
upcoming events to employees. In the event of inclement weather updated
daily.
On
the Inside - The ABX employee website, which gives employees
up-to-date information about the company, events, and employees. Employees
can use the Grapevine to E-mail questions about concerns or rumors, or
they can E-mail President and CEO Joe Hete directly using the Hete
Hotline.
