Dear ABX Employee,

Welcome to ABX Air's employee web site, No Dues Required. The name may surprise you; however, it was chosen by a group of employees for a very specific reason. We have a unique company. We are one of the least-unionized companies in the airline business. We believe this gives us a great advantage over our competitors. In today's business environment, we believe the ability to react quickly to changing marketplace conditions, flexibility to meet customers' needs, and dealing with our employees without interference by a third party are critical to our success.

The American Postal Workers Union is attempting to organize the employees of the ramp and sort operation of the Ground Department. Fact Sheets, containing numerous lies and distortions are being passed out by several of our employees on behalf of the union. Meetings are being held; and soon, if not already, you may be asked to sign a Union Authorization Card. The union organizers will try to persuade you to sign a union card, promising you job security, better pay, and telling you there is nothing to lose.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. The union organizers are playing a very dangerous game with your future. While we may not be perfect, today we have an environment where we work directly with one another to continuously improve our workplace and keep our company financially sound; and that keeps us all employed. You need only to look at many of our nation's airlines to see some of the results of collective bargaining.

This web site will provide you with facts about this union, backed by documents and literature you can access freely at any time. At ABX Air, No Dues are Required to have a great company with excellent pay, benefits, open communications, and a secure working environment. The more factual information you have, the more you will realize that staying union free is good for you, your family, and our community.

Sincerely,

Joe Hete
