CORE VALUES

At ABX we are guided by our core values of OUR PEOPLE, SAFETY, CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, TEAMWORK, QUALITY and TRUST. These values are incorporated into the business decisions we make, keep us focused on our priorities, and shape our corporate culture.

THE EMPLOYEES OF ABX, AT ALL LEVELS OF THE COMPANY, ARE THE COMPANY'S GREATEST RESOURCE AND STRENGTH.

Every employee plays an important role at ABX. The success of the company as a whole depends on how well we all perform as individuals and as a team. We recognize the contributions that our employees make as individuals and as a group both formally and informally. We encourage our employees to participate in improving our company with innovative ideas, developing solutions to problems, and working together to implement them.

ABX uses these Recognition and Incentive Programs to express appreciation for and recognition of employee input and efforts.

WE COMMUNICATE OPENLY AND HONESTLY WITH EMPLOYEES, AND SEEK THEIR INPUT TO IMPROVE THE WORK ENVIRONMENT AT ABX.

ABX management strives to communicate openly with all employees and is committed to encouraging our Open Door Policy. We want all levels of management to be visible and accessible, and foster an atmosphere where employees are encouraged to approach and engage them. Employees should feel that their management is interested in hearing what they have to say, and open to considering suggestions. Management is tasked with being attentive to employee feedback and suggestions, and understanding the valuable impact that employee input can have in improving the working environment and in making good decisions. The Company understands that every work group would like to believe that there are no communication gaps in their area. Most of us realize that communication gaps exist everywhere unless we make a conscious effort to bring people together. Our various communications tools are intended to bring the employees of ABX together to:

  • Foster cooperation and teamwork.
  • Improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Understand and respond to employee concerns and questions.
  • Take advantage of our employees' experience and expertise.
  • Compare employee interpretation of information that we distribute (verbally or in writing) to the message we intended to get across.
  • Keep communication open to help conflict resolution.
  • Pass on new information.
  • Express appreciation for and recognition of, employee input and efforts.

These Communication Tools help us achieve these goals
